Ferrous Yard Torch Operator
Job Summary:
Yaffe Iron & Metal Corporation in Fort Smith, AR is seeking a skilled and experienced Torch Operator to process ferrous material safely and efficiently. Prior knowledge and experience with oxygen/propane cutting equipment is required, and further training will be provided on site.
Key Responsibilities:
· Cutting materials to meet specifications safely while always wearing proper PPE.
· Remove any and all contaminants that will result in rejection from the mill.
· Maintain a safe work environment, free of hazards such as flammable and combustible materials, as well as environmental hazards.
· Follow all safely regulations and protocols while operating.
· Properly extinguish all materials when leaving the work area and at the end of the day, and store equipment in its designated area when not in use.
Class A CDL Driver
Job Summary:
Yaffe Iron & Metal Corporation in Fort Smith, AR is seeking an experienced CDL Driver to join our team to provide excellent and efficient service to our customers, as well as hauling material between locations. Roll off experience is preferred but not required. Safety is our main priority and is key to our daily operations and success within our business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely and effectively operate tractor and trailer while following DOT and company regulations.
- Perform daily pre-trips and preventative maintenance to ensure the proper operation of equipment that is being used.
- Coordinate with dispatch on daily tasks and service calls for customers each day.
- Troubleshoot when an issue occurs so that maintenance and/or management can address and fix the issue.
- General housekeeping inside the equipment.
- Turn in pre-trip forms and records of mileage at the end of each day.
